We release a new version of Mixxx every few weeks. We try to make eachnew release as backwards compatible as possible to older versions, and our release notes should give you a good idea of what's new. But if you are upgrading from an earlier version, please raise your current version issue with the new version's build number and we'll make sure to include it in the notes.
A new build is created whenever we make a change to the source code to allow testing, and then we upload that build to the download page and from that point on it's out there, available to download and install. Sometimes that build may not be representative of the entire set of changes, so some of the things you need to do to get Mixxx to work may not be included in the new build. If that happens, please raise a new issue for the new version's build number with the issues you've found and we'll make sure to look into it. Note that when we upload a new version, it will be a release that includes the new version's build number, the date of the build, the name of the build and the version number of Mixxx, e.g. mixxx-1.5.1-20140811.
The version of Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and.NET Framework 4.0 for x64 that you installed is not compatible with the version of Visual Studio you are installing. Either the version of Windows SDK for Windows 7 and.NET Framework 4.0 for x64 is not compatible with Visual Studio 2015, or the version of Visual Studio that you installed is not compatible with the version of Windows SDK for Windows 7 and.NET Framework 4.0 for x64.
bpo-21183: When you install node.js, MacPorts installs its own copy of the node.jsheaders into the /opt/local/lib/node directory, instead of the/usr/local/lib/node directory that MacPorts expects. To fix this, MacPorts should install to/opt/local by default. (MacPorts uses this copy of node.js in some ofits bundled node modules as well as in the node command when theyinstall, so this change should be a safe one.)
If you have customized the /.config/xcscheduler//SavedGameOptions.xcscheme file through the GUI version of the xcscheduler tool on the previous version, you can still set the parameter manually. See Setting maximum time out . 827ec27edc
